Ok. This took forever (ca. 20 hours) and it's fucking 2am, but I will explain nonetheless.

This was inspired by a Neutral Milk Hotel song called "the King of Carrot Flowers Pt.1", which tells about a boy who (assuming) lives in the south. It goes: "When you were young you were the king of carrot flowers/ And how you built a tower tumbling through the trees/ In holy rattlesnakes that fell all around your feet". I assume this is interpreted as a Pentecostal Revival Festival, since they often had biig outdoor revivals tied in with festivals of some sort of local quaintity (ie, the carrot based export economy perhaps), and since they interpret some line in the bible to justify the SAFE HANDLING OF SNAKES (OMG STUPID STUPID) I figured the 'holy rattlesnakes' were the same as the ones they throw about during these religious deals.

So I have this little kid, who had been crowned king of carrot flowers of the festival, and was invited up with the preacher and became afraid of the snakes. Who wouldn't be? Seriously. Those southerners....9_9
